IRVING, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys are holding an auction of Texas Stadium fixtures that's been more than 38 years in the making. And in true fire-sale fashion, it seems that everything – even showerheads and urinals – must go.

Bidding began Monday (Nov. 17) on the Web site BidSpotter.com. The auction closes at 7 p.m. Dec. 6. Die-hard Cowboys fans can bid on more than 600 items, including turnstiles (starting at $300) and emergency phones located throughout the stadium (starting at $50).

"It's an opportunity for fans to get a piece of Texas Stadium and hold on to it permanently in their own home," Cowboys public relations director Rich Dalrymple said.

For fans who have a lot of space, there are the monstrous banners draped over the side of the stadium advertising Dr Pepper, Pepsi and Ford. Or there's the 30-foot-by-18-foot stadium entrance awnings perfect "for the end of your driveway or the gate to your ranch," according to the site.

Want something a little more personal to the Cowboys themselves? A urinal from the team's locker room starts at $300. So does a Cowboys locker room toilet – billed as the throne of champions – that comes complete with the bathroom stall. There's also a trio of showerheads from the team's locker room that starts at $500.

Terrell Owens' locker? Bidding starts at $2,000. Tony Romo's starts at $3,000.

There are also some bargains to be had. Bidding on a sign warning fans not to cook within 20 feet of the Corral is priced at $10. And a glass-shaped sign advertising "Cowboyritas" starts at $25.

If any bids are entered within 10 minutes of the auction's end, bidding on that item will automatically extend another 10 minutes. Bidding will continue until 10 minutes pass without a bid.

Irving, which owns the stadium, gets a cut from all sales. The rest goes to the Cowboys. The city will also retain 1,000 stadium seats and 100 square yards of artificial turf.

The city has leased the stadium to the team, which is expected to vacate the famed building next spring. Under an exit agreement between the two, Irving can't use the stadium's name to market any new developments on the site.

The auction isn't the only way to get a piece of America's team. The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book this year features 530 square yards of one end zone. The $500,000 purchase price includes installation and a party attended by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

The other end zone is being sold in pieces. Neiman Marcus put together framed collages featuring some of the bright blue turf. As of Monday, no one had bought the full end zone, though several of the framed collages had been sold.
